Recommendations for cleaning and disinfection of premises and objects
Necessary protective equipment and means:
- Personal protective equipment (gloves, protective surgical mask), work clothes;
- Plastic bags, bucket of water, cloths, wiper with water;
- Detergents for household use;
- Disinfectants recommended by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
Instructions for cleaning and disinfection:
- During and after cleaning and application of disinfectants, keep windows open due to good ventilation of the premises;
- Put on personal protective equipment (mask and gloves) before cleaning;
- The use of disposable personal protective equipment is recommended because it is a potentially infectious material;
- Avoid contact with eyes and lips when cleaning;
- Cleaning and disinfecting agents are used according to the manufacturer's instructions;
- Clean with warm water and detergent, and then disinfect floors, tiled walls, windows, handrails and all items in everyday use such as bedside tables, beds and other furniture;
- Gloves and protective clothing (eg plastic aprons) should be used to clean surfaces or handle clothing or bedding contaminated with liquids. After use, reusable gloves should be cleaned with soap and water and decontaminated with 0.5% sodium hypochlorite solution;
- If the mask gets wet or dirty from secretions, it must be replaced immediately with a new clean and dry mask;
- Cleaning and disinfection of premises and objects, performed from one end to the other, so that the already cleaned side is not contaminated;
- All textiles (bed linen, towels, curtains, blankets, etc.) should be machine washed (90 ° C) and with the addition of laundry detergent. If because
material characteristics, water temperature cannot be used (90 ° C), special chemicals should be added when washing textiles (eg bleach or laundry products containing sodium hypochlorite or decontamination products for textiles);
- Do not shake dirty laundry and avoid contaminated materials coming into contact with skin and clothing;
- Clean with warm water and detergent, and then disinfect the surfaces in the bathroom and toilet at least once a day;
- For disinfection of contaminated surfaces and materials, do not use spray packaging as spraying may lead to further spread of the virus;
- All waste generated during cleaning should be disposed of in a plastic bag and waste bins;
- After cleaning, take off your gloves and put them in a plastic bag, then wash your hands with soap and warm water;
- After cleaning, remove the masks with the appropriate technique - do not touch the front side, but unbutton the mask and put it in a plastic bag, and then wash your hands with soap and warm water;
- Work clothes and used cloths should be washed by machine (90 ° C) and with the addition of laundry detergent;
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water, change your clothes and take a shower.
