Consultation of the Local Government Initiative in the Republika Srpska

On April 17, 2018, in Banja Luka the Consultation of the Local Government Initiative in the Republika Srpska was held. The Mayor of Jezero municipality, Snežana Ružičić, attended the consultations where it was possible to present problems which municipalities have and jointly try to find solutions.

The Office of the European Union Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the USAID and the Swiss Embassy, launched the Local Government Initiative on October 18, 2017, and brought together a joint commission of experts to conduct consultations with local authorities and identify systemic problems, in order to contribute to the reforms that are planned to be implemented.
