Thematic Workshop of the Council of Europe and the United Women Foundation Banja Luka

On February 27, 2018, in Sarajevo, the Mayor of Jezero municipality, Snežana Ružičić, attended the workshop “Priority areas for monitoring the role of women in reconciliation processes in 2018”. The workshop was supported by the Council of Europe and the United Women Foundation Banja Luka.

The workshop was also attended by the participants of the meeting in Strasbourg “Women and the process of reconciliation in Bosnia and Herzegovina” who later became member of the working group “Women for Bosnia and Herzegovina”. On the workshop, they had the opportunity to get new information, improve their knowledge and continue to exchange experiences and ideas in more detail on topics started at the Strasbourg meeting and to strengthen mutual cooperation.

The participants of the workshop had the opportunity to meet Dunja Mijatović, newly elected Commissioner for Human Rights in the Council of Europe, the first woman with the title of Commissar, and shared their experiences, problems, ideas and possible solutions with her.
