Evening of poetry on the Pliva River

Evening of poetry by Milica Plavšić from Sremski Karlovci was held in Jezero under the open sky near the Pliva River.

Plavšić spoke the words of her love, childish and patriotic songs last night with a special emotion, because her mother was born in Jezero.

“Jezero reminds me of my childhood memories, and it takes a special place in my heart. Great impressions, unusual ambience, candles, wine and guitar, like a fairy tale”, said Plavšić.

The Mayor of the municipality of Jezero, Snežana Ružičić, stated that in this highly undeveloped municipality so far there have not been such cultural events.

“People enjoyed, the poet delighted all the audience and left them speechless. This is an evidence that Jezero needs cultural events, as well,” Ružičić said.

Milica Plavšić writes poetry and short stories, she is a member of the editorial board of the children's magazine “Vitez”, and many of her songs have entered anthology.
