The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said today in Jezero that the institutions of Srpska should provide 20 million KM for employment in underdeveloped local communities in the upcoming period.
“In this way, we want to improve the employment and influence the development of the real sector, which is our objective in the municipality of Jezero. Our goal is to help municipalities such as Kalinovik, Rudo and where the emigration of the population is present,” Dodik told reporters after a meeting with the Mayor of the municipality of Jezero, Snežana Ružičić.
The President of the Republika Srpska pointed out that in the municipality of Jezero it is necessary to provide organizational units of pension and disability insurance, Post office and everything necessary for the functioning of local communities.
“We came here today to solve some of the problems. In some municipalities, we are ready to build factories, which would be based on local resources, and would we be available to local communities,” Dodik added.
He assessed that the leadership of the municipality of Jezero was dedicated to solving the problem of the population of this local community.
“Earlier, there was nothing here but the mayor of the municipality who acted harshly and the debts were only piled up. Now the overall situation is stabilized, which creates the possibility of remediation of things that were so bad so far, because from the municipal budget now only the former obligations can be settled,” Dodik emphasized.
He said that it is expected from the control and prosecution authorities that any approach that went to the detriment of citizens, as in the earlier period in Jezero, is adequately sanctioned.
“There must be a stabilized budget in the Jezero, and in the next 60 days we will consider the option to financially support the municipality. Through the institutions of Srpska we will establish a new form of organizing a communal enterprise, and the problem is also the gym and the kindergarten that we will build very fast,” Dodik said. He added that it is necessary to repair the local roads, which will be also supported by the institutions of Republika Srpska.
Snežana Ružičić said that the municipality's budget for this year is 640,000 KM and that the majority of funds are going to settle the previous obligations.
“We found a bad financial situation in our municipality. There are great obligations to suppliers and municipal workers, and today we have been promised that the institutions of Republika Srpska will help us in their rehabilitation,” she emphasized and added that in the coming period they will work on the implementation of infrastructure projects.
“It is important for us to have a doctor and a police station at our disposal. In the coming period, we will work on building a bridge, a gym and other important projects for our municipality,” Ružičić said and thanked Dodik for today's visit.
The meeting was also attended by the Ministers of Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska Srebrenka Golić and Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dragan Bogdanić.
