Višković visited flooded homes in Jezero

On February 11, 2019, in the building of the municipality of Jezero, the working meeting was held, attended by Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Mr Radovan Višković, Mayor of the municipality of Jezero, Ms Snežana Ružičić as well as the representatives of the municipality of Jezero. The topic of the meeting was related to the current floods in the area of the municipality of Jezero, finding expert and concrete conclusions that would be helpful to the municipality of Jezero with the aim of reduction of the damage caused by floods and the help to the municipality which is in the very bad financial condition.

The aim of the meeting was informing the Prime Minister about the current situation which is not good at all and which got even worse because of the recent floods.

Besides, the Prime Minister was informed about the infrastructural project that has vital importance to the local community, “Reconstruction of the riverbed of Jošavka”. Making of the project documentation is in progress, the assumptions are that the realization of this project will permanently solve the problem of floods in the area of the municipality of Jezero. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government of Republika Srpska will take part in the realization of this project, together with other donors.

Right after the meeting, the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, the Mayor and the representatives of the municipality of Jezero visited the families whose homes were endangered by the floods.

The problem that was considered during the visit is providing home for multimember family, single parent Zorana Vujić and her five children. Currently they live in the building of old Ambulance. The building is in very bad condition and it was more damaged by the floods. As an act of taking care for providing home for this family, the Prime Minister promised that the Government of Republika Srpska will finance reconstruction or construction of a prefabricated home.

Besides, the representatives of the municipality and the Prime Minister visited two economic subjects from the field of wood processing industry, located in the industrial zone and have great importance for the development of the local community. One of those subjects is Sawmill Šavija d.o.o. which has existed for about twenty years and employs twenty workers, and deals with the slitting of the rounds and the production of wood elements such as: flooring, building carpentry, etc. The other is Gro Line d.o.o. Jezero which also deals with the construction of carpentry and employs about twenty workers, while all their production is intended for export.

The Prime Minister stated that, in accordance with the possibilities of the Government of Republika Srpska, the municipality of Jezero will get help in solving the most important problems, on the basis of the proposed.
