Fourth traditional Swimming Swimming for Holy Cross was held

On January 19, 2020, the fourth traditional Swimming for Holy Cross was held on the River Pliva in Jezero Municipality. Bojan Marić was the first one who got to the Holy Cross. 

Just like in the previous years, the Serbian Orthodox Parish of Jezero and Municipality of Jezero celebrated the holiday Epiphany with liturgy, Sanctification of Water and Swimming for the Holy Cross.

Participants of the event Epiphany Swimming for the Holy Cross were: Slaven Ružičić, Mladen Tegeltija, Bojan Marić, Božo Kljajić, Milan Lazendić, Dragomir Milić and Zoran Glamočak. The first among equal was Bojan Marić who won a golden ducat and the handmade Holy Cross.

All the participant received icons and Certificates of Appreciation by the priest, and the winner got the golden ducat by the Mayor.

Sponsors of the event, besides the Serbian Orthodox Parish of Jezero and Municipality of Jezero, are hotel Balkana (Jovo Vidović) by providing the bathrobes for the participants, Rajko Malinović who made the Holy Cross, flower shop Milena Šipovo, and the housewives who prepared the food for dining table of love.

Safety and security in water was secured by diving club Dolphin Banja Luka and rafting club Jajce.
